Springfield located in southeast South Dakota hugs the border with Nebraska. In 2021, the community celebrated 150 years. A town rich in history and beaming with opportunities for an enjoyable visit and for a place to call home.
The Springfield Historical Society Museum is open by appointment primarily in the summer and fall months. Walk through a pioneer home, watch the story of Springfield in the mini-theater and imagine the early agriculture machinery working the ground.
We hope to welcome you in person soon!
